Rainbow on Grey

Prior to the start of the project, we had a short two sentence discussion on Rainbow. And what we like about it. The task was to illustrated a Rainbow on a rainy day.

Pierrot and Harlequin

inspired by Cezanne Pierrot and Harlequin, 1888. 

Student artists were free to translate into what they could relate to. From clowns, jesters or acrobats

Cut Fruits in Tall Glasses

Royalty free photographs is another source of teaching visual aids.

This one in particular evoke a lot of personal experience from students especially on a hot day. 

Students painted with watercolour without a pre-drawing in pencil or marker. 

From this exercise, I witness an array of painting styles and often than not, none started from the same point.

Acrylic and hand-held squeegee

Another sensorial-based project, this time using a hand-held or mini squeegee over acrylic paint. 

To make disposal squeegee with cardboard by cutting triangular or rectangular teeth of varying sizes and distance. 

Miss Sun and Mister Moon Checkerboard

This exercise was plan to introduce and emphasis boundaries, while it is not essential that they do all the time, it is good to have students concentrate: By 

creating  a checker board sequence (A-B-A-B pattern).
